Alana runs, plays in the Winter Musical, rows, plays guitar, and composes and performs original songs. Listen to her original song, “No More Mermaids,” a piece inspired by her love of the Chesapeake Bay. Alana’s first Bay project was to explore in-shore net fishing, especially pound netting, gill netting, and purse seining. She also likes to kayak.
Alana is currently preparing a series of lesson plans to take to local elementary schools. He intent is to provide a series of mini Bay lessons, lessons to be delivered by fellow students while performing community service in area schools.
